Scott Karp said a major publication would go online only in 2007. Wired said a newspaper would stop publishing in print in 2007.

I was skeptical. Jeff Javis backed me up.

Jeff and I were wrong. The Weekly World News is going online only.

International Bat Boy coverage will never be the same.

   Having never ever read the Weekly World News, I’m not all that broken up over it.

   Sadly, two real newspapers are closing up shop, not even keeping a Web site ticking.

   Um, yeah, newspaper isn’t the word for the Weekly World News. It’s an Alien baby abduted my lesbian tabloid.
